During my tenure at Red Ventures and under my guidance, my teams have accomplished:• Complete redesign of the organization's network including campus networks, data center networks, and perimeter networks. Almost every piece of equipment has been refreshed. Traffic flows and routing have been redesigned from a ground-up approach. This was done to allow the organization to grow and have a scalable network that can resist outages.• Replaced the organization's aging and outdated Linux-based firewall design with Palo Alto firewalls.• Implemented firewalls between the organization's two data centers and the rest of the production network to secure DC resources.• Designed and implemented new IPsec architecture using Cisco ASAs. Migrated VPN tunnels off of Linux firewalls to the Cisco ASAs.• Redesigned BGP for WAN and internet connectivity. Cleaned up/reduced BGP AS numbers used within the private network.• Helped secure the organization's ARIN-registered public IP subnets. Advertised them and worked with server teams to migrate external-facing servers to this new IP space and in a new DMZ that I designed and setup.• Implemented Cisco Identity Services Engine (Cisco ISE) to all access ports across the organization's locations in North and South America.• Connected the organization's network to Amazon's AWS service via two Direct Connect circuits located in geographically diverse locations. Engineered successful fail-over between Direct Connect circuits.• Designed AWS-to-on-prem network connectivity.• Lead the network team on integrating new company acquisitions into the RV network.The Red Ventures network spans 3 continents including North America, South America, and Europe. The network supports two data centers, 5 call-center locations, and connectivity to AWS.
