As Head of the AI Core team at Two Sigma, I am working with a growing team of AI researchers on challenging machine learning problems for the company and in finance broadly. I was previously a member of the Google Brain team in California, helping the development of the new Google Neural Machine Translation system (see more details in article below). I also worked over the years on early versions of large language models, developed and used the first tokenization algorithm for NLP, and developed YouTube recommendation systems, speech recognition, speech synthesis and was an early contributor to TensorFlow.
