Director - Print Technology And Strategy
CurrentResponsible for the strategic direction of Adobe’s current and next-generation PDF printing technologies, and the evangelism of our end-to-end design-to-manufacturing, commercial and office & enterprise print workflows. Works to establish products covering all aspects of workflow, from creation, through sharing and modification and printing using the Adobe PDF Print Engine. In the office space, he focuses on tools commonly used to create documents and specializes in their workflow from any device to any printer, via any path; documents are printed with the Adobe Embedded Print Engine. Continually uses industry experience to identify market opportunities for products and manage the entire product lifecycle through customer interviews, design, implementation, shipping, and support. Initiated and led projects in areas such as 3D printing (Adobe 3D Color Print Engine), textile design (Adobe Textile Designer), and our Design to Print initiative, a Creative Cloud-based solution enabling designers to visualize their products before publishing to digital manufacture via e-commerce solutions. Responsible for the requirements and architecture of the solutions. Defines prototypes that are implemented by the team to validate product opportunities and to help others understand concepts. Enables the evaluation of the potential (and pitfalls) of the solutions before committing extensive resources. Takes a lead role in Adobe’s discussions with partners and customer briefings, helping them to better understand Adobe’s products and the benefits of adopting Adobe technologies, leading to increased business. Owns engagements with specific partners.Represents the company at speaking engagements, trade shows, webinars and conferences delivering his own material. Events include presenting the keynote at Color2019, speaking at FESPA and Digital Textile Printing conferences, and delivering press conferences and theater presentations at FESPA Munich and ITMA Barcelona.
