Several key accomplishments were:• I developed Methods and Procedures to reduce Net Bad Debt across all of SBC’s affiliates (Advanced Solutions Inc, Cingular Wireless, SBC Long Distance, SBC Datacomm, etc) in order to protect company revenue. • I performed weekly in-depth investigations and analysis of adjustments, write-offs and aging and made recommendations for process improvements.• I performed monthly in-depth analysis of bad debt and write-offs to make improvements in areas such as customer service, productivity, and compliance with Tariffs. • I investigated and identified fraudsters and discovered patterns which identified instances of modem fraud.• I rewrote Methods and Procedures for SBC Datacomm with regard to delayed and incorrect invoices and purchase orders. This act enabled the company to recover an average of $6 million per month from the aging bucket.I used a variety of tools in my job such as Microsoft Access, Excel, Power Point, Business Objects and the Telegence Billing system.
