With 20 years of experience, Mike Shamia is an industry veteran with experience in Retail and Institutional level trading in both Equities and Fixed Income. He currently serves as Vice President of Fixed Income & Mutual Fund Trading at Scottrade, Inc. Mike is a results driven leader with experience in trading, product development, strategy, service and oversight within the financial industry. His core strengths include building solid industry relationships. He previously worked at Morgan Stanley and has also been a small business owner.He is a member of the Security Traders Association of St. Louis (STASL) and serves on its board as well as sits on the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) Retail Fixed Income Committee and is an active participant with Bond Dealers of America (BDA). He maintains his Series 7, 24, 31, 53, 55, 63 and 65 registrations. Mike completed the Management Development Program (MDP) at Scottrade Financial and is currently a participant in the Executive Leadership Program at Washington University. Mr. Shamia serves as an elected official on the Board of Education for Lindbergh School District. He volunteers his time with the Security Traders Association of St. Louis where serves on its Executive board. Mike also serves on the Board of Governors at Affton Athletic Association in the role of Field Division Treasurer. He is active with the local Ronald McDonald House Charities of St. Louis and was a founding member of the Optimist Club of West County.
