This career has been full of challenges and amazing experiences. I have learned a great deal about the industry and about sales as a whole. Starting from the part-time position and working upwards, I have developed coaching and people developing skills, jewellery knowledge, sales skills, problem solving and guest relation skills, organizational skills, merchandising and marketing, and incredible business knowledge that I had not learnt until this career path. I have taken multi-unit responsibilities in short bursts and had the opportunity to work in top stores throughout the company. I have aided in every area that I could to gain the experience needed to grow into a career path to truly enhance my passion and drive for success. This career has been entirely people focused, building relations and networking through great service. It has been my responsibility and passion to coach, train and motivate teams in order to drive their business into success.

Starbucks is a world full of possibilities and experiences that inspire the world. In this position I dealt with guests in not only their coffee needs but in creating that atmosphere that a guest can take with them all day long. As a supervisor it was my responsibility to coach and train alongside the general duties that come along with working in a Starbucks location. I became a coffee master through reaching out to the city I worked in and providing taste testing opportunities during festivities. My knowledge of coffee and pairing comes directly from working with Starbucks and the skills I learned while working here have provided me with the much needed tools to grow in other areas of my work-life.

As Director it was my responsibility to deal with all the facilities services as well as fundraising and community services. This was a safe-place for teens to come and be in an environment that provided alcohol and drug free zones. This was a volunteer position that incorporated the entire town to upkeep the place. Our many fundraisers included bake sale, concerts, public speaking, and door to door. We had a large facility that included pool tables, a gym, a video game centre, a sound system, a canteen, fuse ball table, ping pong table and many other amenities to keep kids off the streets. We provided down time, up time and counselling opportunities to those that needed it. It was a passion of mine to help build up the community through youth involvement.

In this position I started by stocking shelves and packing groceries. I quickly moved into each area by driving our customers groceries to their homes, learning cashing options, working in a produce department, cleaning and general maintenance and overall customer service. This was a fun part-time job while I was in high school that had given me the opportunity to begin an accelerated assistant management training. I spent much time training and assisting each area of the store that was needed. The major focus was on customer relations and creating a great service. This job gave me the skills and hard working attitudes that I have carried with me to this day.
