Marketron Broadcast Solutions, LLC is the dominate provider of applications, service and mobile capabilities to the broadcast industry (radio and TV).I direct the accounting, income tax, sales tax and treasury functions as well as other duties. My responsibilities included revenue recognition for software with multiple deliverables, deferred revenues, intangibles and impairment analysis, to name a few. I worked closely with the big 4 audit and tax teams.

Pacific City, Oregon

This position was with a group of companies, the business activities of which included real estate development, construction, a large Brew Pub / restaurant, a 35 room boutique hotel, sale and rental of luxury fractional ownership units, property management, self-storage and a management company. I was responsible for the tax and accounting functions for the group of companies, including research and implementation of policies and procedures and the supervision of accounting department personnel. I prepared the consolidated financial statements, with footnotes, and the income tax returns. I also acted as the in-house IT guy. I was part of the core management group that met to discuss problems, solutions, explore and plan new projects and developments, develop long and short term objectives and goals. I helped obtain financing and interest rates that the companies had not been able to obtain in the past. I implemented a “paperless” project that digitized all of our loans, contracts and other important documents; enabling us to be more agile and operate more efficiently.

A Certified Public Accounting practice with several CPA’s, in addition to support personnel, on staff, located in downtown Portland, Oregon.The practice was business centric (including the owners and their families), and included an eclectic mix of clients. We prepared financial statements through the Review level, including consolidated financial statements, and tax services that included individual, multi-tiered partnerships, simple partnerships, Limited Liability Companies, S Corporations, C Corporations, Estates, Trusts and non-profit organizations. Clients ranged the spectrum, from attorney to a radiology group. We also did merger & acquisitions, forensic accounting, tax planning and management and computer consulting. Several clients came to us from big 4 CPA firms, and we were on the referral list for a smaller national CPA firm.
