Independent Insurance Adviser
Current• Self generation of business, via direct marketing, networking and word of mouth.• Provide new business quotations for all classes of Non-Investment and General Insurance on request, providing relevant advice, information and guidance.• Employ personal/commercial fact find to identify long term client objectives• Prepare bespoke customer correspondence detailing findings of fact find, make recommendations, how those recommendations meet client requirements and any shortfalls in client stated requirements.• Where customer’s requests are more complex prepare manual insurance market presentations, relay and discuss risk with underwriters negotiating appropriate terms.• Using a range of online systems to generate quotes, certificate of Insurance, policy schedule, policy documentation and key facts to clients.• Take instructions from clients, ensuring cover commences at correct time, all relevant documentation is accurate and complete.• Ensure full payment is collected or deposit taken and premium finance set-up and all advice given and documentation issued as appropriate.• Required thorough knowledge of underwriting and rating factors, and how these are applied in relation to all major classes of personal and commercial insurance• Full understanding of company procedures including; treating customers fairly and customer complaints procedures. Conduct business in accordance with FCA guidelines and regulations.
