About Mike Sidwell
I believe strongly in the power of recreation to improve lives. It is an overlooked resource in many people's lives, and for others unfortunately often times healthy and engaging recreation activities are not accessible. I believe recreation is a critical component to a quality education for youth, and an underutilized tool that can connect kids with their formal education by engaging them in their class subjects through experiential and active learning. These ideals along with my desire to build relationships, community, and create safe spaces accessible to all populations has directed me towards my current and previous professional experience.Specialties: Conflict resolution and management, building relationships and community, cultural humility, volunteer coordination and management, event coordination, advocacy, grant writing, public speaking, recreation maintenance, and customer service. Experienced working with all age groups teaching a variety of outdoor education skills and subjects.
Listed skills include Customer Service, Outdoor Recreation, Sales, Inventory Management, and 18 others.
