He was the site manager where every building at the Jewel complex at 1955 W. North Ave. Melrose Park, Illinois was either remodeled, added to, or both. This complex is one (1) mile long by one quarter (1/4) mile wide. The work included adding 150,000 square feet to the dry grocery building then raising the roof 20' on an existing building from 18' clear to 38' clear, all while keeping this 24/7/364 facility operating. He also managed the construction of a 142,000 square foot freezer (42' clear), never missing a scheduled milestone for completion and in fact accelerating its completion. The last phase of this project involved converting a former freezer to a medium temp. facility with 5 Automatic Storage and Retrieval Systems (A.S.R.S.). Mike has the ability to manage the most complex construction projects. He has a great temperament for working with non-construction operations type people who know little about construction while still being able to run the project schedule.
