I am a highly competent and motivated Associate Professor in Physical Geography and Senior Project Manager working for Quaternary Scientific and The School of Archaeology, Geography and Environmental Science (SAGES) within the University of Reading. I am experienced in the concepts and application of geographical information systems (GIS), climatic and environmental change and data analysis. Research interests include GIS and remote sensing applications in geography, the Quaternary history of SE England, the pedagogy of field teaching in higher education, and the development of heathlands as a landscape, and its relationship to modern management practices. In 2020 and 2021, I led on the SAGES virtual fieldclass project, subsequently nominated for a Times Higher Education award.
