The Canadian Energy Centre is focused on correcting misinformation about Canadian energy, promote the excellent ESG of our companies, and educate Canadians on how oil and gas works - especially how Canadian Energy is a leader in ESG metrics. As ED of Operations my focus has been on building and establishing policies such as conflicts of interest, expenditure, procurement, ethical business practices and whistleblower while guiding a team. I'm also responsible for building a supply chain that can provide the organization with competitive vendors. My division includes marketing and communications, advocacy, content, rapid response, media relations, website design and supply chain. Finally, I lead the development of our corporate culture - something extremely exciting for a new organization.

After the sale of Devon to CNRL I took on a number of roles and files, many specific to British Columbia business units including:- Lobbyist and communicator focused on challenges within the Corporation;- Provide issue management through the internal bureaucracy of CNRL;- Coordinate all British Columbia government relations activity including lobbyist registry;- Focus on policy development and legislative amendment opportunities to benefit CNRL assets;- Represent CNRL on British Columbia Business Council (BCBC);- Develop policy position stakeholder management plan for property tax relief for mature assets in north eastern BC;- Work through BCBC with the government of BC to build a reasonable Emissions Intensity Trade Exposed (EITE) approach for carbon tax payments on mature assets;- Provid information to build the BCBC Low Carbon Advantage policy platform;While BC was my main focus, I also was responsible for managing multiple Alberta files and coordinating internal positioning and messaging, lobby efforts, and external communications including:- Alberta Mining Operations – mine water return policy and regulation changes, regulatory applications coordination, and challenges from acquisitions;- Indigenous Consultation Policy – coordinate through provincial governments to improve government processes and systems for timeline improvement;- Water and wetland policy - work with internal conventional and oil sands divisions to develop reasonable alternatives to current legislation and policies; - Electricity – manage our co-generation policy and monitor market changes as CNRL is a significant purchaser of electricity; and - Labour Act – progressing changes in the Act involving averaging agreements

Worked with the Devon executive on government affairs and public policy in British Columbia, Alberta and Canada (Federal). Managed the Community Relations, Community Investment, and Internal Communication Teams. Provided strategic advice on advertising and marketing, public policy, Alberta Energy Regulator positions, and Government of Canada and Alberta energy and environmental frameworks. Interact with community, government and industry stakeholders on a consistent basis.

Provided timely, strategic advice and information to the Minister, the Premier, the Premier’s Office, Members of the Executive Council and the Legislative Assembly on all matters relating to the departments and Ministry.Managed all aspects of the Minister’s Office including budget, staff, briefings, and political public communications (including plans, messaging and press gallery relationships).Public spokesperson and media relations manager for the Minister; advised and assisted the Minister on all matters.Managed relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effective partnerships and to leverage relationships to achieve Ministry goals.Negotiated and built consensus among Caucus Members to achieve the policy direction.

Manager of the Government Caucus staff - including the research and communications branch and legislative assistants. Responsibly managed a multimillion dollar budget. Was the principle contact for all Government and Cabinet Members into the Whip's office.

Was the manager of the Government Caucus Research Branch. Was responsible for about 7-8 researchers. Was quality control and political lense for the group. Worked in conjunction with the Director of Government Caucus to establish research priorities for the Caucus. Also was our key representative for the Information Technology Committee with the Legislative Assembly Office.
