Foster workplace safety, identify and address workplace hazards with engineered solutions, and participate on plant safety teams; Area of focus are EMP's hydraulic press shop performance and continuously finding ways to improve productivity and reliability of the press, Heat treat reliability and accuracy, and machine shop throughput and reliability; Utilize the project safety management process to incorporate safety and ergonomics into projects from conception through turnover; Engage operations and maintenance technicians to develop "Fitness-for-use" criteria for equipment upgrades; develop solutions to requests for technical services from plant personnel; Provide technical support for EMP's maintenance department on major breakdowns; Conduct field investigations and condition assessments of manufacturing equipment, facilities and infrastructure to; Develop and maintain the plants rolling maintenance repairs budget; Perform machine tool assessments and develop rebuild work scopes and functional specifications; Utilize critical chain project management techniques to successfully plan and execute repair projects and plant outages

Performed inspections, predictive & preventative maintenance, fabrication,condition monitoring, diagnostics, troubleshooting, calibration, adjustments, and routine and emergency repairs of plant wide equipment to assure asset health care, production equipment reliability, and overall equipment effectiveness. Supported installation and erection of new equipment; performed major rebuilds or upgrades of existing equipment. Maintenance of forging equipment, heat treat equipment, overhead cranes, lathes, mills, HVAC,mobile equipment,etc.

Produced layouts, part models, drawings, and analyzed parts with CAD and Inventor; worked during ECF’s shutdown helping with major repairs and updates to the forging facility; worked with MEDART during the installation and set-up of a newly purchased peeler; designed and installed a slag trimmer at EMP; worked with the tooling safety team to implement HYTROC solutions at 3 pieces of machinery to help eliminate possible strains and sprains from tightening/loosening part tie downs; authored an MRER for the purchase of the HYTORC solution; laid out and presented a forging facility extension and update with (3) new box furnaces; authored RFQs for new furnaces, cranes, and a manipulator; developed solutions to requests for technical services from plant personal; conducted field investigations and condition assessments of manufacturing equipment; worked with the safety personal to update and improve the safety standard at ECF; built detailed project plans and operator manuals; worked with setting up preventive maintenance plans
