As the director of PW, I am proud that our team serves as the long term stewards of village assets and infrastructure, maintaining systems that will outlast our individual careers. We are entering a time of profound change, one that has uprooted much of the structure we all depend on. And that comes with a very real sense of loss. I am proud that we bring fun to our careers.As an Engaging Local Government Leaders (ELGL) Traeger Award Top 100 award winner, I am proud to be recognized for contributions to local government advocacy, by helping to amplify the good in local government through writing, presentations, and organizational vision.As the alternate captain of the Illinois Section-American Water Works Association (ISAWWA) Water Hammers hockey team, I am proud to help raise money for charities while reminding everyone that without clean water, we wouldn't have health, beer, or hockey.

Des Plaines History Center.The Des Plaines History Center collects and preserves material related to the history of the Des Plaines community and brings together people interested in history, especially the history of Des Plaines. The History Center offers programs for adults and children, runs a museum, archives, and gift shop and works with many local organizations in Des Plaines.
