Assistant Team Leader. Responsible for instructing range personnel on UXO identification, sweep techniques, and site safety standards. Inspected material potentially presenting an explosive hazard (MPPEH) for the presence of explosive hazards. Prepared on-site holding areas to temporarily stow acceptable risk munition and explosives of concern (MEC), plus demolition material within Munitions Response Area (MRA). Responsible for risk management of explosive remediation of UXO and Discarded Military Munitions (DMM). Used Grimble Geo 7x for record keeping of individual incidents/sites. Used Schonstedt GA-72Cd magnetic locator for investigation of suspect metallic signatures within the 10 square miles of real estate.

Kodiak Alaska

Acting Team Leader, conducted tailgate safety briefs, classes on types of ordnance, training use of locating equipment, proper use of PPE, proper procedures to remove explosive components out of the ground, supervise others in all UXO activities. Keeping accurate records of what is identified out of the ground to be destroyed or disposed of at the end of the day. Communicate with SUXOS, UXOSO, and UXOQC on the progress of the job site. Responsible for the locating and identifying of military munitions and or residue. Use of Trimble’s R8 and GPS Trackers

Developed the training curriculum, standards, methods, and educational materials to meet administration and training requirements of approximately 900 students and staff personnel at the U.S. Naval School of Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD).

Started Project Life Cycle. Participated in project identification, quantifying work, identifying risk, identifying stakeholders, preparing schedules and work breakdown structures. Accountable for the entire U.N. Humanitarian Demining Level 5 Standards project from procuring equipment, developing training material, risk management of explosive operations and turnover of project to the Iraqi Army for implementation of training programs. Schedule completed in 11 months.
