My main duties were the safe working of my team, and outside turbine maintenance. This was to repair and make new the outside coating of cika flex on the platform to prevent water ingression.

As an S.A.P Support Operative ,my duties were to travel with the SAP in the wind farm field and to assist in various minor duties that were asked...ie fitting of locks to switchgear, labelling of switchgear, assist in energization of turbines. I was also trained to monitor SCADA on a night shift basis , and make records of faults that occurred during that shift. Other main duties included sub station marine co ordination, permit control, and other admin duties where required.

I served 17 years at Trinity House most of that time was spent in the engineering workshop repairin and fabricating aids to navigation.This also included travelling to lighthouses to perform repair duties as planned maintenance.The final years of my service were spent in the main office at Harwich where I was asked to perform asset tracking duties on a vast amount of navigational aids, also compiling vast bills of materials for many types of deep water buoys. I was in contact on a daily basis with project engineers,buoy laying vessels, and other engineering departments to collate technical data for new buoy projects.
