As the Director of the Anti-Money Laundering and Countering Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) Group at the Department of Internal Affairs (DIA), I lead a team of professionals who oversee and regulate the compliance of reporting entities with the AML/CFT Act and international standards. I also co-chair the Asia Pacific International Cooperation and Review Group at the Financial Action Task Force (FATF), the global body that sets and monitors the implementation of AML/CFT policies and measures. In this role, I work with members to coordinate and conduct follow-up reviews of the effectiveness and technical compliance of FATF members and observers in the region. I have an executive master's degree in public administration from the Australia and New Zealand School of Government (ANZSOG), where I studied public management, policy analysis, strategic leadership, and public sector innovation. With over 10 years of experience in the public sector, I have developed strong skills in governance, risk management, stakeholder engagement, communication, and collaboration. I am passionate about advancing the public interest, enhancing the integrity and transparency of the financial system, and strengthening the international cooperation and coordination in combating money laundering and terrorist financing.
