As the Journeyman Carpenter Layout Specialist, I am responsible for reviewing and implementing specialized layouts based upon detailed drawings and plans. Through the use of survey and layout instruments, I am responsible for establishing grid and elevation control, laying out any trade-specific building components, shooting elevations, and quality control to ensure buildings are laid out according to contract documents.

As the foreman I was responsible creating and maintaining detailed project schedule using Primavera P3 scheduling software, coordinated with subcontractors and inspections to ensure critical path elements were aligned with the schedule, and managed and directed labor for the self-perform scopes of work. I created and managed work plans and aligned resources to effectively meet scheduling and budget expectations. I coordinated and performed field layout, including detailing completed as-built construction elements. I maintained detailed daily logs to track and maintain production and project progress and generated RFIs for any uncertainties or field discrepancies as they arose throughout the project.

As the quality control individual I was responsible for completing detailed reviews of construction documents to ensure compliance with contract, verifying compliance and discrepancy with construction documents and plans against completed field elements.

As the Crew Lead I was responsible for the construction of the moment frame structural core according to construction documents and developed an efficient and effective flyer table strip and fly procedures to maximize productivity.As a Journeyman Carpenter I gained experience and competency in a wide array of concrete formwork construction, including footings, slab on grade, columns, walls, and elevated decks. We worked with a variety of formwork systems to ensure the effective and efficient use of resources and time.

As a carpenter apprentice I was responsible to developing my knowledge in carpentry while constructing and installing steel stud framing and drywall, including all layout measurements according to plans. Gained experience in suspended ceiling installations and applied cleanroom carpentry applications.

As a Structural Journeyman and Staff Sergeant in the 141st Civil Engineering Squadron, Structures Shop, I completed effective leadership development training courses, as well as extensive carpentry training and coursework. I took part in on-base carpentry projects that helped lay the foundation to my trade skills and leadership qualities.During a deployment to Afghanistan in 2012, I was given the responsibility to complete concrete formwork, as well as temporary structure construction.

As a carpenter apprentice I was given the opportunity to train and learn fundamentals of carpentry in the field of commercial wood framing.
