This included the selection, appointment and management of designer and advisors on complex, multi-site projects, primarily in Scotland, but also in England and RoI. Secured projects had an aggregate funding value in excess of £1.8bn, primarily in the education and healthcare sectors. Over this period we enjoyed a bid conversion rate of circa 70%.Additionally, I held full responsibility for RCP Ireland which successfully bid for School and College bundles in RoI.Latterly, I undertook the role of New Projects Director for Amber Blue with responsibility for delivery of a pipeline of capital and revenue funded projects with an aggregate capital value in excess of £500m on behalf of the East Central hub framework. -

I worked on a number of major projects ranging from retail redevelopments (M&S, Glasgow) to financial offices (Deutsche Bank, Edinburgh), shopping centres (Gyle, Edinburgh), Health (Perth Royal Infirmary) and leisure (Water Palace, Hamilton and The Quay, Glasgow). In addition to managing construction sites, I spent significant time working with the tendering team in Glasgow bidding for projects. Towards the end of my time with Carillion I spent 6 months working with special projects out of both Wolverhampton and London bidding on major projects, some in excess of £300m.

Initial experience tended to be on major civil engineering projects such as road construction, petrochemical terminal and Airport runway upgrading.Later experience tended to be more in the sphere of building, such as high quality offices with production facilities and some house building.
