CurrentAs a Mortgage Loan Officer with Huntington Bank, I provide mortgage options and pre-purchase counseling for families in Kalamazoo, Allegan, and Van Buren Counties. Prior to joining Huntington Bank in the fall of 2014 I was a Mortgage Lender with Chemical Bank for 14 years, and before that sold Real Estate with Jaqua Realtors in Kalamazoo.My guiding principal is to provide hope, empower people, and build community. Everyone deserves a chance to sit at the economic table. With a focus on customer service, I have built my business by taking time to educate prospective customers and getting them ready to buy their first or next home. Not everyone I come into contact is ready to buy a home. Together we review income, debt, credit, and assets to develop a Roadmap To Success, which may ultimately lead to home ownership.I graduated from Andrews University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Media Technology and am involved in the Fair Housing Center of Southwest Michigan as as Secretary, the Michigan Real Estate Academy as a Real Estate Pre-Licensing Instructor of Financing Principals & Practice, the Greater Kalamazoo Association of Realtors Equal Opportunity Committee as vice-chair and Governmental Affairs Committee as member, People's Food Co-op as a Board Member, and Home Builders Association member of the Parade of Homes Committee. I have also worked as an instructor for Credit and First Time Buyer classes as Community Action House.
