I have the privilege of working with a high performing team of individuals who are passionate about growing the influence and mission of Employers Health across the country. We work with self-funded employers and other plan sponsors to group purchase pharmacy benefits, which increases their leverage within a market where the supply side is constantly consolidating. Our efforts result in lower price points for their plans as a whole and for the individuals who participate on those plans.

Employers Health is a national employer-led health coalition. Our team is focused on contributing to the success of its member organizations and the personal and professional success of the benefits professionals we collaborate with on a daily basis. We accomplish this through a host of programs and services aimed at realizing effective benefits strategies, maximizing those strategies through group purchasing programs, advancing strategies using data and niche expertise, and accelerating results through the use of technology. As CSO, Mike's primary focus is on strengthening the Employers Health brand and growing membership, particularly in the coalition's 25 year, $2.5 billion group purchasing program for Rx benefits. Outside of Employers Health, Mike represents employer and plan sponsor interests in local community and regional efforts aimed at improving the health care delivery system. Mike also serves as a Director on the Board of Directors for Delta Dental Plan of Ohio.

As COO, Mike works across all functional teams to maximize the value delivered to member organizations and plan sponsors. He also works with plan sponsors that participate in Employers Health’s $750 million Collective Strategy programs for pharmacy benefits management to ensure positive plan performance. Mike consults with members through use of the Insight data warehouse program, which includes more than 30 plan sponsors and 300,000 covered lives. Outside of Employers Health, Mike represents employer and plan sponsor interests in local community and regional efforts aimed at improving the health care delivery system. To that end, he serves as Vice Chairman for the Access HealthColumbus Board of Directors and is also active in system transformation activities in Cincinnati.

Mike works with the Employers Health team to develop strategic efforts aimed at adding value to Employers Health members and prospective members. As part of his responsibilities, Mike leads efforts to attract and retain plan sponsors into Employers Health’s group purchasing programs, particularly its $800 million PBM program with CVS Caremark. Mike earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Mount Union in Alliance, Ohio and his master’s in business administration from Walsh University in North Canton, OH. Mike currently serves as Treasurer for the Board of Directors of Access HealthColumbus. He previously served as an adjunct instructor at Walsh University, teaching health care policy and has served in his local church as Elder, Finance Chair and was a leader for its Youth Ministries.
