Multiple design awards from the Society for Newspaper Design, National Association of Sunday and Features Editors and Texas Associated Press Managing Editors.• Editor, XL entertainment magazine, 2007: For one gloriously long, hot summer, I was in charge of the magazine, supervising six writers, two designers and an army of freelancers for stories about lakeside flooding and drought, the Austin City Limits Festival and Los Lonely Boys.• Sunday editor, 1992-1994: Oversaw the production and staffing of the Sunday paper, designing both the front page and Insight sections and supervising the content.• Copy editor and designer, 1985-1992: Copy editor, editorial-page designer, Metro layout and front-page designer for the first Gulf War, the Rodney King riots and the death of Stevie Ray Vaughan.
