I started working as a dental technician while still in high school. I have experience working in both small and large laboratories and have found advantages in both settings. I have worked for my most recent employer for eighteen years, the last sixteen of which were in a managerial role. I started as a technician and was promoted to department manager within two years. Although I have had many opportunities to learn and grow in this position, the lab was recently purchased by a competitor which unfortunately resulted in downsizing and decreased opportunities for advancement. Recently, I have been reflecting on what makes me feel fulfilled in my career. Managing people and motivating them to perform at their very best is what brings me pride and a sense of accomplishment in my work. I am ambitious and driven. I thrive when challenged and set high goals and expectations for myself. I’m looking for a company and job that can bring longevity and fulfillment. You will quickly see that I am hard-working and possess a wide-range of interpersonal skills.
