Technologies: Oracle Data Modeler, Erwin, MySQL, Oracle, SQLServerWorked as a Senior Consultant within the Master Data Management (MDM) practice. The MDMpractice maintained a proprietary data product called Databurst which was focused on providing customers in the pharmaceutical commercial domain with a platform for managing voluminous data from heterogeneous data sources. The practice also maintained MySQL databases in the AWS cloud for several clients. The MySQL databases act as interfaces to the Reltio MDM product. My primary responsibilities were to maintain the data models and database objects that support the Databurst product and the Reltio database interfaces as well as assist the ETL developers with any sql issues and general database maintenance requests (ddl and dml).

Project: Design and build data interfaces in SqlServer between a Oracle Fusion Hub and SAP ERP and Salesforce.ComTechnologies: SqlServer 2008r2, CDC (Change, Data, Capture), SSISWorked as a sql developer on a major project for our client, DealerTrack, to design and build data interfaces between their Oracle Fusion hub and SAP ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and Salesforce.Com. The data interfaces were built in a SqlServer 2008r2 spoke database. Source data originated in the Fusion hub and was replicated to the SqlServer spoke database. The SqlServer database utilized replication (publish/subscribe) for synchronization to the Fusion hub and the SqlServer CDC agent to identify data modifications. Within the spoke database, I built stored procedures to communicate with the SqlServer CDC agent to identify new and updated data which was subsequently inserted into interface tables. The external systems, SAP and Salesforce.Com, pulled data from the interface tables into their environment. Once data was processed in the external systems, they transmited a response, which included external system identifiers, back to the spoke database. The SAP and Salesforce.Com identifiers were then replicated back to the Fusion hub, thus completing the round trip from source to external systems via the spoke database. Exception reporting was accomplished from SSIS packages and Splunk, Dealertrack’s standard log and error reporting system. The SSIS packages extracted data from the interface log tables into flat files which were then imported into the Splunk system.

Project: Financial Application for a major bank in Brussels, BelgiumTechnologies: Oracle 11g , SQL, PLSQL, MySQL, EnterpriseArchitect, Liquibase DB Version Control, Talend ETL, Jaspersoft iReportWorked as a data modeler and sql db developer on the proprietary Ness financial product, Financial Data Enterprise (FDE). FDE is a web application that captures financial market data from various data providers such as Bloomberg, Reuters and Telekurs, for example. The collected data is normalized and corrected into a common copy, sometimes referred to as a ‘golden copy’, which can then be distributed to subscribing clients. The architecture for FDE is based on open source technologies (java, apache web server and MySQL), but is designed to be portable to any database platform. For KBC, the underlying database was Oracle 11g. My responsibilities initially involved interviewing the Middle Office Data (MOD) clients at KBC Bank to understand their business, gather requirements and model a time series enhancement to FDE that would meet their objectives. Additionally, I was actively involved in analyzing, designing and developing the underlying database schemas for supporting the various FDE modules. Used Enterprise Architect to develop the conceptual, logical and physical database models. Utilized Liquibase to manage database versions and facilitate migrations from MySQL to Oracle. Talend ETL was used in the initial stages of the project. Created reports using Jaspersoft iReport. FDE was developed using the Agile methodology.
