Reporting directly to the Chief of Police, I am responsible for the Operations Division with direct oversight of the Patrol section of 2 Lieutenants, 4 Sergeants, and approximately 36 officers, as well as Criminal Investigations section consisting of 1 Lieutenant, 2 Sergeants, 8 Detectives and 3 civilians. Responsibilities include all field operations related to emergency response, resource and manpower allocation, investigations, and the deployment of departmental assets including motor units and K-9.

Executive position on Command Staff➣ Provide direct oversight for recruiting, hiring, and processing for all department positions, oversee police training program and instructor development, act as liaison with Human Resources for personnel issues, and assist with budget planning, presentation, and implementation.

Executive role on multi-jurisdictional SWAT team comprised of 50+ officers from four different cities.➣ Worked directly for Chiefs of Police from member cities and managed critical incidents, coordinating the selection of new SWAT members, budget processes, and large-scale projects.➣ Worked with Command Staff to coordinate equipment and gear purchasing (2015 ballistic vest purchase).

Managed Patrol Division, 5 sergeants and 40+ officers, and directly accountable for all night shift operations.➣ Assigned as Department Range Master I completed an overhaul of range practices and policies for more efficient management and accountability. Led effort to build a new patrol rifle program, created policy, and trained 30+ officers.➣ Coordinated police and private security for Addison Oktoberfest, a 4-day event with high volumes of visitors and alcohol sales. Completed this event within the projected budget and with no negative incidents.

TEAM LEADER (Jan 2011 - Mar 2016)North Texas Metro SWATIn 2011 APD joined with three other cities to create a regional SWAT team. ➣ Founding member of the leadership team on multi-jurisdictional SWAT team comprised of 50+ officers from four different cities. Accountable for team training, planning high-risk operations, managing critical incidents, coordinating the selection of new SWAT members, and managing the effort to research and select the new ballistic vest for our team in 2015.➣ Researched and implemented a Self-Aid/Buddy-Aid program for all officers, and purchased 60+ "combat medic" kits, and trained the entire department in their use.

Assigned to Patrol Section and supervised shift of 6-10 officers, including the K-9 unit. ➣ Accountable for weapons training, maintenance, and weapon qualifications and supervisory role for Firearms Range staff.➣ Coordinated Field Training Program and Mentor Program for new officers, and commanded the APD Honor Guard.Assigned to Criminal Investigations Section and supervised 12 Investigators.➣ Increased proficiency and results in Narcotics and Vice Unit, implementing new processes to efficiently manage cases. ➣ Created a process to successfully train new detectives and sergeants assigned to CID.

Assigned to patrol division, responsible for patrolling my area of responsibility, answering calls for service, enforcing traffic law, responding to emergencies, making arrests, processing evidence, completing reports, etc.
