Following spells with insurers in both the General and Lloyd's markets, I joined Sun Alliance in 1988, and enjoyed a variety of roles during a 17 year career which included the merger with Royal Insurance and subsequently the MBO by FirstAssist. My introduction to the healthcare market began in 1991 when I was appointed to a sales role based at the Sun Alliance offices in Oldham, Lancs. Following a move to the healthcare operation in Bournemouth in the mid 90s, I carried out a number of senior / managerial roles culminating in my appointment as FirstAssist’s PMI Sales Manager in 2002. I joined Simplyhealth in 2005.CII IF7 qualified, I was voted in to my second spell as AMII (Association Medical Insurers and Intermediaries) Insurer Representative in April 2015.In my spare time, I am a lover of all sports, particularly cricket and football. I am a member of my local cricket club and an ECB ACO qualified umpire. I also enjoy travel, family life and real ale!
