Executed scope of responsibilities in carbon capture and sequestration (CSS) during feasibility studies for projects nationwide that reviewed local regulations, estimated permitting requirements and pipeline right-of-way (ROW) length and route, and saturation of parcel numbers that would need to be negotiated. Represented company at community and stakeholder engagements, acting as SME for CCS projects, and answered questions from operational and safety perspectives concerning the carbon capture process, pipeline safety, CO2 exposure, and CO2 injection into underground geology. Developed site-specific policies and procedures, selected contractors, and ensured safe start-up associated with re-commissioning of process plants, pipeline construction, refinery maintenance, distribution of fuel products, environmental assessments and cleanup at process sites, and extensive reconstruction activities.
