- Developing business plans, budgets and strategies for consideration by the Board and, implementing these plans, budgets and strategies.- Ensuring the Company’s operations and business are within the parameters set by the Board from time to time and that the Board.- Identifying and managing operational and corporate risks for the Company and formulating strategies for managing and mitigating those risks, including for consideration and endorsement (as applicable) by the Board. - Managing the Company’s financial and other reporting mechanisms, and control and monitoring systems are functioning effectively and are founded on a sound basis of prudential risk management. - Ensuring that the Board is provided with sufficient accurate information on a timely basis in regard to the Company, its operations, business and affairs, and in particular with respect to the Company’s corporate performance, financial condition, operations and prospects.- Implementing the policies, processes and codes of conduct approved by the Board and facilitating the monitoring and reviewing of, and reporting against, those policies, processes and codes of conduct.  Report to the Board on the status of policies, strategies, directions and plans (business and otherwise) set or approved by the Board. - Participate in appropriate business and professional associations, networks and activities relevant to the Company’s interests along with ensuring relationship building with external stakeholders. - Setting up, maintaining and reviewing organisational structure, systems, policies, processes and procedures, in order to guide, support, inform, service and monitor the prime functions of the Company. - Ensuring legal, ethical and professional practices and boundaries consistent with the Company’s code of conduct/values are adhered to. - Ensuring financial activities are managed within agreed budgets.- Ensuring effective and efficient functioning of the Company and all its operating divisions.

Responsible for the operational management of Planit, who operate specialised testing services and training to the Australian, New Zealand and UK marketplaces with over 1400 staff in Australia, New Zealand, UK and India.

Promoted to undertake the Managing Director role when the IT&T marketplace and associated industries, such as staffing and recruitment were in a period of rapid decline. Therefore, the primary focus of effort has been towards business operational and cost efficiencies, core product evaluation and short, medium and long-term strategic sales and operational planning.

Promoted to the AGM role, Sapphire Technologies (at that stage trading as Andrews Partners), had two challenges confronted the business; the merging of another IT&T recruitment company into the business and the potential re-branding of the combined entity.

Offered the opportunity to ‘start-up’ a new business in a new market from scratch with no local knowledge or prior business operational experience in the Australian market.

After choosing to immigrate to New Zealand, was hired into the role of Account Manager in one of the countries leading IT&T recruitment companies to perform end-to-end recruitment sales activity for a range of clients, both established and new business, including the company’s largest account, IBM.
