I manage the design project workflow within the Birmingham office, ensuring projects are assigned to the right member of my team to deliver the best result for the customer, meeting the required deadline within budget. I provide strategic and technical guidance to my team, colleagues and industry contractors. I am one of the owners of our brand/visual identity and make sure it is adhered to and embedded into the company’s and contractor’s ethos with a close attention to detail. I lead my team to deliver around 200 design projects a year, these range from infographics, flyer and leaflets to complex animations, scheme communication brochures and public information exhibitions. I liaise closely with my communication business partner colleagues and outside design/creative agencies to plan and deliver engaging creative designed content for my customers. I seek feedback on completed projects from customers and regularly hold de-briefing meetings, evaluating the impact of our work, working with National Highways insight team. I set the vision for my team, which can deliver digital based interactive design, animation and video editing with motion graphics. I recruit staff to fill skills gaps for video, digital and animation project delivery. I delivered Highways Agency’s corporate communications using engaging graphic and digital design to the Communications Plan objectives. I produced mapping and delivered cartographic services. I gave specialist graphic design advice and support to internal, cross departmental and the supply chain. I drove continuous improvement and innovation to meet customer and organisational requirements, developing the use of reusable roll up exhibition display system with our exhibition contractor.

I managed the print and proofing of project delivery. I set up a web presence for Voyage Graphics, continuing on to establish web design as a new design service for customers. I produced graphic design, packaging and web page design for residential construction companies, shop signage, event companies and other companies producing licensed merchandise for children’s toy manufactures Vtech and Hasbro.

I helped set up the in-house graphic design studio, producing graphic design and page layout for adverts, flyers and the in-house company newsletter. I took on product design project for Dartingtons own in-house range and also partners, such as Tiffany & Co. and Cartier. I drew up designs for the senior designers.
