Providing assistance to the Chair. This includes: • Fully deputise for the Chair in the event they are unable to fulfil their duty• Chair meetings ensuring that they are run efficiently and effectively• Represent the Branch at meetings and forums as agreed with by the Chair

My responsibilities include work alongside the Chair on financial matters relating to the network; updating the committee about such matters and managing a record of the networks financial transactions, monitoring the Branch budget. Added to the above to coordinate meetings and supporting fellow members with valuable opportunities to network and share experiences, as well as coordinating Branch events and taking a lead role with the Executive Committee. Operating as Branch Events Coordinator on larger Branch events. Treasurer duties includes:• Managing the overall budget of the network.• Administering the network finances, maintaining suitable income and expenditure accounts to show and explain all transactions.• Working with the committee to ensure that expenditure incurred by the network is at all times in line with IOSH policy.• Managing committee members’ expenses incurred in the course of their duties• To reconcile the branch bank account monthly report sent from head office with the network income and expenditure records.• Preparing and submitting to IOSH an annual budget showing the financial requirements of the branch to enable activities for the membership to be provided.• Presenting a brief summary of the financial status of the network at each committee meeting.
