About Mike Zummer
Working for the FBI, I was good at fighting corruption, but I became an expert when I began fighting it within my own Department. After investigating corruption in Iraq as a Marine, corruption at the state and local level as an FBI agent, and corruption within the FBI and U.S. Justice Department as a whistleblower, I learned that every institution, public and private, suffers when its officials or employees abuse their authority for personal gain. To combat the financial losses and legal pitfalls of corruption, institutions must actively educate their employees about ethical practices, protect whistleblowers, and investigate wrongdoing. Also, every business has an interest in making sure the government does not corruptly pick winners and losers in the private sector, particularly when competitors are unfairly tilting the playing field in their favor. As a Marine, Stanford-educated lawyer, former-FBI agent, trainer, and whistleblower, I am uniquely qualified to serve these interests.

Fbi Whistleblower/First Amendment-Anti-Corruption Advocate
When I notified a federal judge of Justice Department misconduct favoring a sexual predator, the FBI violated the First Amendment to silence me, falsely using its national security powers to evade court review of its wrongdoing. Since then, I've been litigating against the FBI to hold it and its corrupt officials accountable for these abuses, as well as writing about systemic corruption in the very federal agencies charged with addressing such abuses of power.
