Miguel Angel Martinez is a Media expert with 25 years of experience and a passion for producing, animation, interactive games and multimedia.He is currently bridging art and technology working as Pipeline Lead for 2D shows at Atomic Cartoons. Throughout this time Miguel has assisted to develop the current 2D shows Pipeline, automating processes from start to finish and creating tools for artists that enhance their artistic expression. He is very familiar with all the tools in the trade, from data and asset management, code versioning, CICD, planning and creating metrics, and a great mentor. Expert in Toon Boom Harmony, JavaScript, Python and most production DCCs. In 1998 he co-founded Grupo EsComic!, a digital comic and animation studio. Working as Project Manager and Animation Director for clients who produce animated films, TV shows and commercials. He also developed web games and web sites for advertisement campaigns. Several projects where he has worked on have been awared with important recognitions: Leo Awards, Emmy, Peabody Award, Diosa de Plata(Mexico).Along with his career in animation, and his background in engineering, he lectured for 13 years at some of the most influential universities in Mexico on topics such as programming, multimedia and animation.Since his arrival in Canada in 2012, he has continued to lead digital projects while adding to his managing and digital media production skills after completing his post graduate certificate in the Interactive Digital Media program at Centennial College.Miguel loves cartoons, miniature worlds, macro photography, films, technology, science and electronics.
