I headed the division responsible for dissemination of statistics, communication, and media cooperation. I was responsible for developing and implementing a new strategy on dissemination and communication and the development of the open data publishing strategy.

The Paradox Foundation (Edam, the Netherlands) supports documentary and journalistic photography and photographic artists. The not-for-profit organisation develops projects around contemporary issues with documentary authors: photographers, filmmakers, visual artists, writers and researchers. Paradox does not program its own exhibition space but collaborates with venues in the Netherlands and abroad. I was a member of the supervisory board and presided the board during one term.Since 1993 Paradox has developed more than 40 distinctive activities, travelling to some 120 venues worldwide. Paradox was founded in 1993 with the aim of stimulating the development in photography. To reach this, Paradox produces travelling exhibitions, organises symposia and publishes audiovisual, digital and printed publications.

De visitatie van de Rechtspraak is een onderzoek naar de stand van zaken van de kwaliteitszorg in de rechterlijke organisatie. De visitatie dient als verantwoording van de Rechtspraak aan de maatschappij en bevordert de kwaliteitsverbetering in de gerechten. De visitatie wordt uitgevoerd door een visitatiecommissie. Eens per vier jaar worden de 17 gerechten in Nederland bezocht door een visitatiecommissie. De commissie, onder voorzitterschap van oud-politica Femke Halsema, is ingesteld door de Raad voor de Rechtspraak. Aanvulling: Femke Halsema is na haar benoeming tot burgemeester van Amsterdam vervangen door Joyce Sylvester (plv. Nationale Ombudsman).

De Stichting Nieuwstatelier is een initiatief van de optichters van de journalistieke platforms Follow the Money en The Post Online. Nieuwsatelier heeft als doelstelling journalistiek ondernemerschap onder (jonge) talentvolle onderzoeksjournalisten te stimuleren, en wordt daartoe gesteund door diverse particulieren en het Stimuleringsfonds voor de Pers.Als projectleider hield ik me in het bijzonder bezig met het opzetten van een contest voor journalistieke talenten die, begeleid door de belangrijkste nieuwsmedia van Nederland, in het najaar van 2014 gedurende een programma van enkele maanden met elkaar gaan streden om de meest opzienbarende en onthullende onderzoeksprimeur te kunnen publiceren.

De belangen- en werkgeversorganisatie van de Nederlandse Hogescholen, de Vereniging Hogescholen (VH) heeft een onderzoekscommissie ingesteld die de toekomst van de economische hbo-opleidingen en hun aansluiting op de toekomstige arbeidsmarkt gaat inventariseren. Tot het cluster economie-opleidingen aan hbo-instellingen behoren ook de opleidingen op het gebied van media, communicatie en journalistiek. Ik hield me in de commissie daar in het bijzonder mee bezig. De commissie bracht in het najaar van 2014 advies uit.

During my term I oversaw the transition from broadsheet to tabloid format, implemented a new organizational structure and introduced new online platforms and online publishing methods.
