As an intern I acquired extensive knowledge about owning and operating a successful Home Medical Equipment business. I also gained valuable insight and perspective in the Medical Sales industry, mainly focusing on orthopedic rehab. My experience and responsibilities included: - Shadowing the company CEO and sales representatives on a daily basis (over 340 hours) - Understanding the proper function and usage of a several different kinds of DME products and brands which include: Bauerfeind; Townsend; Kinetec; Pride Mobility; Medi; Don Joy - Accompanied sales representatives to rehab clinics in the Charlotte area to build rapport and fit patients into spinal/extremity braces & CPM (continuous passive motion) machines. - Collaborated with several arthroscopic surgeons, physiatrists, orthotics/ prosthetics specialists about the benefits our products can provide their patients. - Traveled to several ankle & foot clinics in the Matthews area to market and inform consumers about our in-store products.
