I have been a high school math teacher for 5 years, having taught students from grades 8 to 12. I enjoy the creative challenge of designing and implementing lessons that engage students in problem solving and lead them towards conceptual understanding of complex mathematical ideas. Besides delivering instruction, my role involves tracking students' progress through formative assessment, providing timely feedback, designing and implementing summative assessments, and collaborating with my department and grade-level team to improve our practices and impact on students' learning.I have also worked as a private tutor for SAT preparation, MS and HS math and science courses, and college math courses such as Calculus 1, Calculus 2, and Linear Algebra.
