The team also works with a services team to maintain over 2300 locations in the US and Canada to provide LAN, WAN, and other networking services to the entire company utilizing a wide range of technologies for small-, medium-, and enterprise-sized locations.• Technical services provided include administration, maintenance, design, and troubleshooting of switching and routing services and protocols, and the issues that arise at the enterprise level, and providing guidance and support with other teams within the company that require network resources. Cisco routers and switches are the primary hardware used, with protocols such as MPLS, vPC, HSRP, EIGRP, BGP, and DMVPN supported. Other hardware technologies such as UCS and firewalls are supported as well. • Projects in my work scope include upgrading IOS, IOS XR, and NX-OS images, planning new designs to replace technology that is EOL, migrating sites to new carriers/configuring new MPLS connections, and support projects in other technical departments that need networking resources (IP addresses, finding a device on the network, creating port channels to increase bandwidth for servers, etc.).
