Balance. The yin and yang that exists in every element of daily living - professional career, personal life, nature, day and night, love and life itself - creates opportunities to seek balance. Striving for clear understanding and balance in each endeavor and relationship, words and details are important to me. In my career at Webasto (26+ years) I have always sought balance, by asking questions, communicating and listening carefully to the issues at hand, both positive and negative. I have been fortunate to grow my array of skills and experiences first in the marketing realm working on product branding, website design, literature and collateral creation, media relations, vendor event development, collaborating with international teams, and creating advertising campaigns. I moved into new territories for the company, creating customer loyalty programs, launching social media initiatives, and leading customer councils. Recognizing the need to better connect the Sales team with the Marketing efforts led me to transition into sales management and to create a unique approach to strategic business development. Employing my natural curiosity, intellectually-questionable sense of humor, and drive for establishing balance, this fulfilling and enjoyable period was layered with creative strategies, deep-data-dives and simplicity.Martial arts study and practice has been part of my life since forever. This is a path of constantly expanding limits and seeking balance. In 2009, I founded the Michigan Martial Arts Project (MMAP) to bring together the local martial arts community by capturing and sharing positive stories and events within the industry through a blog, a calendar of events, a podcast and YouTube channel. In founding Quetico Group LLC in 2020 I brought together both my creativity and my love for the martial arts, designing a card game, Best Bad Ninja, which celebrates the whimsical fun of the many techniques and characters in the martial arts.I am usually outside, with a camera, on extended and thoughtful walks. As an amateur photographer, I enjoy capturing as best I can the beauty, simplicity and balance I encounter in nature and in my daily life.
