I was a working manager doing my fair share of the day to day work of maintaining the systems, databases, automating processes, and patching. • Saved over $3M in costs and cut several months off development cycle through meticulous analysis of options and presenting to and advising executive team.• Decreased annual hardware expenses by more than $500K and increased quality of incoming company equipment by researching new vendors and initiating competitive bidding process.• Architected Oracle ERP system upgrade to replace antiquated technology, ensuring billing process security by stabilizing invoicing/financial system; included Oracle 12.1.3 conversion and architecting and implementing OBIEE, OAM, Hyperion, ESSBASE, and GRC solutions. • Worked with two system administers and Oracle DBAs to implemented the newly architected system. Configuring ZFS applications, 10GB networks, Solaris LDOMS, Oracle RAC and active data guard.• Configured 13 Oracle RAC systems with over 75 Oracle databases for Production, Dev/Test and Disaster recovery.• Upgraded Oracle EBS from version 10.3 through 12.1.3.• Upgraded Oracle RDBMS from version 7 through 12.1.• Wrote a Perl script that monitor database growth and uses predictive algorithms to ensure we don't run out of space.• Wrote a Perl script that generates RMAN backup scripts to backup Oracle databases.• Configured Active data guard for our OLTP EBS system. The data guard copies are used for reporting, doing SNAP clones, and disaster recovery.• Automated the EBS clone process so a 5.3 TB EBS database can be cloned in 2 hours. This included changing passwords to randomly generated ones, bringing back over 8,000 responsibilities for testers, updating multiple profile options and configuring SSO.
