Continued previous frontend architecture experience and took on management of UX design team for SLB's cloud seismic processing & imaging platform.

Served as software architect and technical lead on SLB's Cloud Seismic Processing & Imaging frontend applications. In conjunction with engineering team developed best practices and established architectural patterns to enable sustainable growth of the frontend application.

Principal architect and lead developer of ION’s seismic data processing and imaging environment, Galaxy. Galaxy dramatically improved workflow efficiency, supporting a period of high growth of ION’s data processing business. Since it’s introduction in 2008 Galaxy and it’s related software components have been the foundation of many ION technologies and systems.My work on Galaxy transformed ION’s data processing software architecture from Linux desktop-based applications into an enterprise class software system featuring high-availability database and messaging services, custom middleware solutions, and supporting systems for monitoring performance and availability. This enabled many software solutions that were previously inconceivable, resulting in many valuable workflow improvements.

Responsible for maintenance, customer support, and new development for GeoCenter’s seismic processing system, SeisUP. SeisUP supported a number of operating systems including IRIX, Solaris, HP-UX, AIX, Linux, and Windows NT.Specific contributions include:• Developed new job scheduler and workload manager, which was more performant and reliable than the previous version. Core job scheduler daemon was developed in C++; UI components developed using Qt.• Responsible for development of Qt-based seismic data rendering toolkit that formed the foundation of GeoCenter’s Qt seismic display applications.• Ported entire software system to Intel’s Itanium architecture. In the process dramatically improved the reliability of interprocess communication components when operating in a multi-platform environment. Also ported many components to Mac OS X.• Participated in technical and sales support on-site with customers.

Assisted in the construction of experimental apparatus which involved machining, electronics, optics, and computer programming.
