Hi, I’m Michael. I’m an entrepreneur, iOS developer, and product guy. I co-founded Distinc.tt, a social network for LGBT teens, and have worked in business and engineering positions at large companies and small startups.Here’s an attempt at condensing my personal and professional psyche into a digestible summary:I’m a creative thinker —In business, this means I’m good at problem solving. As an engineer, it means I’m a good hacker, stellar at fixing bugs, and quick to learn new code. In a brainstorming session, I’ll run out of white board space too quickly and get excited by other people's views, especially if they’re unexpected or make me think differently. As a negotiator, and in life, I’m usually able to “discover value.”I’m a builder —Companies, apps, teams, websites, organizations...things. I like making something from nothing. I love thinking that at any moment, instead of standing by and watching, or waiting, I could jump-in and do something. Start something. Create something. I don’t understand why more people don't do that.My greatest satisfaction comes from creating some-thing that makes some-difference to people. My definition of “some-difference” is liberal; it could be a game that makes a bored person happy, an object that’s useful, a process that ups productivity (and free time) or a piece of art that makes someone happy.As a person —I’m a gay, a jew, a geek, a pianist and an artist. At my startup I get to be at least 3 of the 5. I hope I’m a good friend to people, maybe not the one that’s always hitting the clubs with you, but at least the one you call when you really need help, or someone to talk to. I'm an outgoing introvert. I’m also a matchmaker and my “Yenta List” has already resulted in 1 marriage. (just saying...)tl;dr, I do a lot and I strive to be the best at what I do, in the best way I can. It’s a lot of work but it pushes me to adapt and improve, which I like. I think it makes life more interesting and fulfilling.
