As a Creative Services Director, I'm passionate about developing and marketing engaging multi-platform content. It's important to connect with the audience - with the right message and on the platform of their choice. It's also critical to do the research - to recognize their challenges and offer solutions with deep insights. Strong storytelling wins. Understanding the needs and concerns of the audience is key. Teamwork makes it all happen.My professional background has helped me build a broad range of skills, including writing, research, graphic design, photography, video production, strategic planning, marketing, media buying, and public relations.My natural drive to continually improve myself led to a big decision. I went back to school. After 25 years, I still love the communications business and while I thrive in a multi-platform environment, my degree is from what you might call the 'analog age' – primarily focused on journalism and broadcasting. As of this writing, I'm days away from crossing the finish line of this educational journey, and I can honestly say that every class has been a lot of hard work and is well worth it. It's true, some of the coursework does mirror the best practices of my current profession, but the vast majority of class discussions offer new insights that inspire and motivate me. After two years of studying and writing solid papers, I'm rocking a 4.0 GPA.
