Objective: To make you look good to your boss. What sets me apart from others:1. I worked as a NASA contractor for 10 years supporting the International Space Station Crew Support Network. I was the server engineer for eight of the ten years there, and spent the first five years at NASA training the astronauts on the network configuration and basic troubleshooting techniques. I also supported the early space station missions as a flight controller within Mission Control.2. I have a wide and diverse industry background. I have worked for the public sector for both State and Federal governments, and for the private sector in the financial/insurance, oil and gas, medical, educational, heavy construction industries, and was an adjunct professor at the San Jacinto Central District campus.3. I document what I do. I document processes, procedures, systems, and networks. I understand that even if something happens to me, the work must go on. There is no better legacy than to leave a place better than I found it. I always try to simplify the documentation process for departments with the ISO mantra, "document what you do, then do what you document." This seems to make the idea of documentation much more approachable than some would believe.I am a professional with significant experience in the aerospace and IT industries, a teacher at heart, and work to make others look good, to pass on knowledge and acknowledge success. I am a good communicator; I try to stay away from computer industry jargon when I talk to users, simply because I know they are looking to do their job and just need their computer to work. I pass on tips and tricks that will help them in their day-to-day work. I always strive to make whomever I am working for look good to their manager or supervisor.
