I managed the information technology for Charter Academy of the Redwoods (CAR) for almost 9 years. Charter Academy of the Redwoods manages two of Direct Funded Public Charter Schools in Ukiah, CA. I managed a Student Information System (PowerSchool), 100+ Computers, the Network and four servers. Win 2k, Win 2003, Win 2008, and Mac OS X Servers. I was in change short and long term technology planning for the two Charter Schools. I’ve successfully written the State Approved Technology Plan twice, the tech plans are updated every 3 to 5 years. I managed budgets necessary to purchase computers, network hardware and software necessary to implement the Technology Plans. I conducted professional development (technology) trainings for Teachers and Admin Staff. Trained individual employees on use of Student Information System, Email, and various curriculum based ASP website apps. And I worked closely with Teachers to further Integrate technology into their classroom curriculum. For eight out of the last nine years, I have been the Teacher for 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th grade Computer Lab class (learning lab), each class for each grade level, 85 minutes three times a week plus prep time. And for the last four years I’ve been the advisement teacher for one or more of the High School level classes.

CISCO, IDG Books, Shell Oil, Moble Oil, Apple Inc.I helped the companies who wanted to keep the Promptu Marketing ASP product. Familiarizing their IT Staff with the applicaiton, how to modify/maintain the application.

Web App Developer for Promptu's e-marketing web based application. Corrected bugs in Promptu e-marketing application. Created Code for new dhtml back end, database driven Javascript code at presentation level. Participated in updating current Application from Tango 2000 to a Java, J2EE, Struts/JSP MVC environment.I was on shutdown crew 18 out of 50 employees. We wrapped up the application development and handed over rights to the fortune 500 companies that where using the application when the dotcom busted. Promptu lasted 6 months past the dotcom bust. It came very close to getting its final round of funding, but the market dropped out. This product could have done very well if faith in the market had not hit such a low point.
