Lead engineer for Ignite Sales, responsible for overall design, implementation, and operation of SaaS platform. My focus was primarily in the areas of platform architecture and backend development (using Node.js and Scala), with front end work on occasion (primarily React). In my time at Ignite Sales, key achievements included:- Design and implementation of a common server and client side application framework leveraging modern Javascript (ECMA 2018+) to allow for rapid service development without the need for code transpilation. Refactoring the data models and data stores for the entire SaaS platform to allow for forward-looking feature development.- Migrating most client integration points (API’s, SFTP integrations, etc.) to run on serverless architecture, with appropriate operational availability and alarming.- Implementing significant devops tooling capabilities to deliver continuous deployment on all back end services along with comprehensive operational alarming.- Driving adoption of and implementing application provisioning system based on AWS Service Catalog that allows for push-button, templated deployments of client applications.- Performed as de facto product manager for all back end and infrastructure efforts.- During 2020, I took on most CTO duties for a period of about 9 months after CTO left the organization until permanent replacement was brought on board. This included serving as primary technical contact to clients, managing vendor relationships, and managing development team members.

Solutions architect primarily focused on architecting and developing cloud-based web applications. This includes developing scalable web applications using 12 factor, event streaming, and serverless architectures within a strong devops framework. In this role, I led a cross-organizational effort to migrate portions of the TI.com website into AWS. This included the first true high availability, twelve-factor application created at TI. Additionally, this role provided me a great opportunity to be a thought leader both in my Demand Creation team and the wider IT organization.

In this role, I led the Web Technology organization within Demand Creation IT. This organization was comprised of cross-functional teams working in the areas of software development, user experience, UI design. I was tasked with leading transformational change within the Web Technology organization. This included establishing a healthy software development culture where individuals are empowered and encouraged to innovate and truly own their work. I was successful in building organizational capacity by transforming the organization from what was a production design team into a software development team recognized across the company for their expertise.This organization focused on development of TI.com and a number of related applications using a wide range of technologies including: full stack application development (Java, .NET, NodeJs); RESTful service architectures; UI frameworks and pattern libraries; mobile application development; and user experience design and testing.The organization has been successful in sharing knowledge and introducing new technologies and techniques to other software development teams across TI. This is something for which I am particularly proud, as my belief is that the most successful individuals and teams must find ways to make an impact beyond their immediate area of responsibility.

Architect and managing developer for cross-language development team implementing e-commerce and marketing-focused web services. This includes high-capacity, highly-scalable infrastructure based on Amazon Web Services platform capable of providing web services to hundreds of millions of globally-distributed devices. These services enabled over 600% revenue growth in e-commerce channels between 2008 and 2012.Responsibilities included: integration of web services with Android, iOS, Symbian, and webOS applications; extensive database administration; development of mobile application user interfaces; and e-commerce website development.

Maintained overall responsibility for business development and operational execution on all web development and consulting projects executed by the company. Web development projects included custom application/application component development, e-commerce integration and customization (including custom payment gateway integrations), the development of a PDF form-based data collection application, as well as a number of small-to-medium sized CMS-driven websites.Additional consulting projects included application feasibility and implementation studies, application requirements specification development, and management of third party developers.
