Responsibilities:While at Critical Mass I supported and maintained both PC and Mac based for over 100 local and remote users. This included configuring custom systems for new hires based on their roles, Exchange accounts, and granting access to any other server resources they required. I also performed routine hardware and software maintenance on systems, as well as managing such mobile and tablet platforms including; iOS, Android and Blackberry. I also became quite familiar with Active Directory, learning how to install, configure and maintain an instance and it’s relationship to other offices on the internal VPN.One of the initiatives, which I was involved with while at Critical Mass, was the design and implementation of a new backup process. This involved researching software solutions, as well as architecting and implementing a new backup routine. Once implemented, I continued to ensure that backups were running effectively with regular testing.Lastly, because of my previous experience, I was given the duty of managing the phone system, network switches, and security system. Achievements:One of my initiatives, which I am proud of while at Critical Mass, was to create “How To” technical documents, addressing common issues. These were available to employees on the company intranet, and helped to significantly reduce call time.Another project, which I was heavily involved with, was our office move. I was personally responsible for the relocation of the network equipment and cabinets. I also created both the new network and phone system maps, physically implementing them and configuring the network switches. I then coordinated with Operations / Reception, ensuring that all employees personal phones were activated, as well as the Polycom systems for conference rooms.

Responsibilities:While at Polley Security I was involved in a wide scope of projects, ranging from simple home alarms, to fully integrated access control systems with CCTV and intrusion detection systems. My duties were full-cycle, starting with designing the systems based on client requirements, and then implementing the systems, running cables, configuring and programing equipment, and then finally training the end-user on how to manage the system themselves. On larger projects I would act as Team Lead, training and instructing my co-workers on proper use of equipment and process.Achievements:Often the owner of the company would be required to work out of the country for some clients. During these times I managed local operations. I would handle all incoming client calls, setting up a work schedule for myself and other team members, prioritizing work requests according to urgency. I would also handle the provisioning of any equipment and maintained the 24-hour ‘on-call’ service.
