The following 3 years based in the Vessel Design Group designing vessels for the THermal Oxide Reprocessing Plant, (THORP), working mainly on CADDS 4X on a CDS 4000 system and becoming Lead User.Transferred to the Computer Applications Group for the evaluation of CAD systems and their suitability for use in the various BNFL engineering departments. In the last year involved in the specification and execution of a major benchmark for a dimension/table driven design system, (now known as parametric design) for the design of vessels, associated equipment, and fittings.
