Event production: I'm a multifunctional production man with experience on multiple levels both off & on stage: event production, stagemanager, live-sound, studio sound, live videoproduction, box-office manager for festivals, musician, presenter, dj.Education: I love to share what I believe in.Like most people: I love to work together with motivated people on interesting projects.I like to keep my experience growing (I'm not the kinda guy that's interested in doing the same job over and over again for years to come.) So I'm always interested in jobs that contribute just that bit more to my already broad experience. I'm especially at ease with jobs that challenge me on multiple levels.Since 2001 I've been working as a freelancer for various clients like Mojo, NFF, IDFA, Paradiso/Melkweg productiehuis, Tivoli, Melkweg, Herman Brood Academie.Besides realising other people's productions I'm developing stuff as well: As a teacher I've developed my own lessons in live sound technology and popmusic. I'm proud to be co-author of the nr 1 dutch teaching book about live sound. And I still love making music.Specialties: Keeping a broad view. Aiming for perfectionism as far as realisticly necessary and feasible. Always keen to keep a good atmosphere at the job.Working with both professionals, volunteers and trainees on the same job.

Co-OwnerEdusonic 2010 - PresentEdusonic is een kleine educatieve uitgeverij, gericht op technische evenementen productie. Ons eerste boek 'Live geluidstechniek - de basis', geschreven door mezelf en mede-eigenaar Niels Jonker verscheen zomer 2010. Inmiddels wordt dit boek op de meeste MBO's voor podium- en studiotechniek in Nederland en België gebruikt. Zomer 2018 verschijnt de 5e herziene druk.Het tweede boek 'Lichttechniek - de basis' verscheen in augustus 2012. In juni 2013 verscheen een uitgebreidere 2e editie, zomer 2018 verschijnt de bijgewerkte 3e editie.In juli 2014 verscheen 'Zo natuurlijk - natuurkunde voor evenemententechnici' een praktisch boek met oa veel informatie over electronica componenten zoals je die veel tegenkomt in diverse apparaten. De verbeterde 2e druk vind zijn weg ook naar veel scholen voor podium en studiotechniek.in augustus 2016 verscheen 'Mixen met Impact', een inspiratieboek vol handige tips om tot een betere geluidsmix te komen. Dit boek werd lovend ontvangend door zowel amateurs als professionals. In april 2018 verscheen internationaal de Engelse editie 'Mixing with Impact' in licensie bij het gerenommeerde Focal Press.Al onze titels worden goed ontvangen door studenten, docenten en mensen die naast hun praktijk meer achtergrondinfo willen.

Bassplayer, SongwriterMusician In Various Bands 1982 - PresentAs a young kid I dreamed of being a musician. So I picked up a guitar, switched to bass and played in various bands throughout the years. Most of these bands never got anywhere, but I managed to see the world with some of them thanks to tours in the U.S.A. and Europe.I've mainly been playing bass in many bands, mainly rock. All my other activities are quite time consuming, so currently I'm only busy with Dirty Secrets, a rockband that turns recent commercial hits into unexpected rocktunes. We love to entertain crowds with unexpectedly heavier versions of wellknown songs, surprising medleys and mashups. I'm looking to start up a new project to get my own songs & sounds out to the public, either as a continuation of my former 2 piece band (just me and a drummer) or something completely different. My taste in music is quite broad, but I'd rather play something alternative, heavy and groovy than something you'll hear everyday on the radio.I enjoy playing with all my heart. But I feel it's just too hard making a living out it without having to compromise my musical goals too much. So I just stick to play what I like, and make my money by teaching and doing event production.
