Managed the Lean Six Sigma activities for a cluster of five plants. Business Units supported include Oscar Mayer, Beverages, Snacks & Confectionary, Grocery, and Cheese & Dairy.

Phoenix, Arizona Area

Working with Booz & Co., led a team to identify opportunities to increase operational efficiency. Developed a program plan to deliver $28 million in annual savings. Set up a Program Management Office to manage the improvement efforts as well as the overall Lean Six Sigma program.

Directed the Lean Six Sigma activities in the West and California Regions as well as two business units in the Central Region (approximately $2.5 Billion in Revenue), which includes twelve business units that cover 26 states, 41 Black Belts, and 536 Green Belts (2007-08). Led the Central Region in 2009 (approx. $2 Billion in Revenue) Directly manage six Master Black Belts, a Black Belt, and administrator. • Delivered in excess of 4.5:1 ROI in financial savings every year. Delivered in excess of $55 million in savings in 2009 (10:1 ROI).• Sponsored several Kaizen events conducted at business units that resulted in company-wide replication.• Led region initiative to create Lean Laboratories. Created standard work cells and processes to increase performance.

Responsible for leading the Lean Six Sigma activities in the West Region (approximately $1 Billion in Revenue), which includes eight business units that cover 21 states, 32 Black Belts, and 280 Green Belts. Directly manage four Master Black Belts and twelve Black Belts. • Consistently delivered over 3.5:1 ROI in financial savings annually (over $83 million in 4 years).• Led the team that developed the Six Sigma Model for the company.• Using the Six Sigma Cultural Assessment as a model, developed an operating mechanisms model that was adopted throughout the West region. The approach is to be replicated throughout the company in 2008.• Developed certification requirements and process for Master Black Belts.
