I am a widely skilled technology consultant and leader, with strong operational and technical expertise gained through proven problem solving, analysis, and technology enablement, with the ability to communicate the challenging into the easily understood.With two decades of IT experience specialising in enterprise software consultancy and support to a diverse range of businesses, plus leadership and management experience as an Army Officer through to a construction industry CEO role, I am able to quickly understand business system and process challenges and provide guidance and leadership to help an organisation get the best use from existing or available software and improved processes.I also have a wide range of experiences and achievements that are somewhat outside the 'norm':• Acted as liaison officer between senior Israeli and Egyptian military staff in the realignment of the Sinai/Israel border.• Invented a world-first system of cook-chill for the provision of hospital food services.• Raised NZ$12,000 by cycling halfway around Australia (Broome to Sydney via Perth and Albany) to help abused women in South America start a new life through education.• Awarded the NZ Army Chief of General Staff Commendation and Citation for a project I ran to computerise the NZ Army's catering systems.• Founded a contract food services business that grew to $10m revenue p.a. within 14 months.• Volunteered in the Middle East for four and a half years and computerised the organisation’s financial systems whilst managing the finance team working in up to 14 different currencies daily.• Provided certificates for a training course I developed and ran in Papua New Guinea that were handed out to the students by the PNG Minister of Education.My strength is helping people with technology and transitions to new systems. I have years of technical and business experience in client-facing roles. I am a good communicator, written and verbal, and get great satisfaction from enabling people to work more efficiently through increasing their knowledge and skills with the systems and tools available to them.
