The Outreach Coordinator is responsible for the following:• Development of a 6-12-month work plan (with input from the Steering Committee)• Weekly monitoring of the Courts Matter Illinois email: - Responding to emails that need attention. - Alerting the volunteer coordinators of what has come in and been responded to.• Develop, monitor and maintain a Courts Matter Illinois listserv/google group: - Send out a weekly update (provided by national Courts Matter partner organizations) to all individual and organizational members of CMIL and to interested individuals and organizations. - Reach out and communicate by email and phone to potential organizational and individual members. - Grow the CMIL membership• Develop, monitor, and maintain a social media presence for Courts Matter Illinois (Facebook, Twitter, etc.)• Maintain and update the Courts Matter website and Facebook page and help develop a more robust website for Courts Matter Illinois• Assist in arrangements for meetings, webinars, conference calls and events and follow up to these activities.• Work with Steering Committee on advocacy alerts on judicial nominations.• Meet with members of the CMIL Steering Committee (via conference call/Zoom or in person) on a regular basis.• Advise the Steering Committee on strategies for growth and outreach and building public awareness of the importance of the federal courts system.• When appropriate, speak and write publicly about the federal judiciary and Courts Matter Illinois.• Other duties as assigned and as time allows.
